Skype for iPhone App Reviews

Used to love this app. Now I cant access my phone contacts through Skype anymore. I use Skype to call a lot of my contacts to save minutes (something I pay extra for on Skype). And now youve made it very cumbersome to do that. I would soooo prefer the old interface!!

You ruined the only way i can communicate with my girlfriend and reason being is because my Iphone 4 can only handle 7.0 ios and you a** holes made it 9.0 ios which means you f***ed me over. Worst app ever!!!!

The new UI is unusable. They have grossly over modernized the app and added a useless color scheme option. Frankly they have taken away more than they have added to a previously excellently designed app. I used this app to communicate with my older parents who found the user-friendly layout easy to use. Please, Microsoft, go back!

Every day I try to send messages, usually in the afternoons the messages will not load and I have to resort to either waiting it out or logging into my desktop skype, which is a lot better than mobile skype. Please return to the old skype.

Seems like youd have to try hard to make an app this difficult to use. Is it even possible to start a group chat with this thing?

Its just, ABSOLUTELY awful and confusing. Id prefer the older version.

The previous version was dependable and easy to use. All the old familiar controls are nearly impossible to find in this new version, and the connection is a catastrophe! Calls made from the same exact chair at home are so poor that I have to turn off the video to save bandwidth and even then the signal disappears regularly. Please give me back the old version!

When there was nothing wrong with the old version why fix (ruin) it?

This app is useless. Cant even do basic thing like add phone number to contact.

I cant see if people are online. Are we supposed to just call randomly hoping they are there ?? This update sucks!!

Customization is for regular users to make them more interested in using your app. NOT FOR CASUAL USERS WHO JUST WANT A WORKING PRODUCT.

Skype is really amazing

Ive been using Skype for almost 10 years, but I am ready to uninstall it unless it is fixed, or the old Skype is brought back. There is no control over ones status; no real contact list. The more recent updates have made Skype unusable. Thumbs down.

This app has kept me in touch with my family We communicate regularly with our Family in Australia.

Youve ruined this completely. What have you done? What the heck was the joint youve smoked while doing this? This is now became the most terrible app Ive ever had on my device. Where is the statuses, how can I remove a person off my contact list ? Youve put a lot of flamboyant cover and stuff but forgot the most importât part of any application - its functionality. I think that the guy who gave a green light for this mess to be released, should be fired at once.

What the heck happened?! this latest update makes no sense. It is difficult to find anything within the app. The color scheme is useless and everything about the new update is extremely confusing.

Always use it for calls. Its good one but it takes time to turn on

The new update got rid of the green dot next to a contact, which prevents from quickly figuring out whether someone is online or not... Not sure why thats gone, causes confusion
