Skype for iPhone App Reviews

Regardless of the way it looks now, which Im not a fan of, the call quality has gotten SO MUCH BETTER. FINALLY!

Loving it

I had several issues with skype on previous versions, but it looks like Skype got it right this time. This version feels faster on my IPhone 6S, it does not freeze, it is easier to navigate, and sound/image quality are pretty good. Some of the graphics shenanigans may appeal to younger audiences and are not useful to me, but not an issue. Worth the upgrade!

The new version is an absolute mess! I am in absolute shock. Classic case of fixing a good working UI and creating garbage. Please give people the option to go back to the old version. Its a shame.

I think the "improvement" was made for a spy from the competition

constantly crashing, calls keep failing, and constantly being signed out. this new update has ruined everything. go back to the old skype.

Go back to older version. You must have hired game developers for this update!

Hopefully the next version is the before version.

I can receive calls on my computer but not my phone. Unbelievable!

Terrible upgrade

Removed ability to call from device phone book, need to copy paste. They even removed "online", so now you cannot see who is online. Instead of a skype client its now just a snapchat emulator but garbage. As a paid credit user, I cannot send SMS anymore. No longer a feasible option for telephone calls. Cannot remove last seen. Never buy Skype credit.

Ever sense the new update it doesnt work and wont let me open up the app. I hope this gets fixed ?

This redesignhas removed the ability to see phone numbers of contacts, and, when numbers are clicked on, goes into a chat interface. As though one could chat with a phone number. This is the first review I have written in two years. Never has a redesign been so thoroughly user hostile in my experience on the App Store, or in 15 years of computing on linux, Mac, or Windows.

Multi-person video calls - amazing!! Free and excellent picture and sound quality.

This last update is so bad I removed it from my phone. Ive been with Skype since its inception and use quite a bit. Very disappointing

So the latest app is really hard to understand, it defaults to speaker mode so your conversation is in the open. Hard to understand the profile for a contact. If it does not get better its time for a new app to call my folks.

My friends and I run into little problems when we call on here

This new update has made my entire phone buggy, and it glitches and crashes every time I open it. This update was unasked for, unnecessary, and unwanted. I cant delete the app, however, because I have important contacts on there that would take a long time and a lot of effort to relocate. So, Im begging you, the developers and the team behind the updates, IM BEGGING YOU, PLEASE REVERSE THE UPDATE. I liked it as it was, and there are actually more problems the more you guys have updated since a long time before this final straw. Get it together and stop following a trend, and start looking at the functionality and tried-and-true functions of the Skype app. This app isnt Skype anymore.

This would be my first time leaving a review. This deserves 0 star. Whats the point of using Skype if YOU CANT WHOS ONLINE? What group of people sits at a table and decides that it would be a great idea? Isnt the purpose of using this to know whos online so you may chat with them?
