Skype for iPhone App Reviews

This app becomes less functional with each update. I am traveling abroad, and went to call people in my iPhone contacts using Skype because it will be cheaper than making international calls. However, I cannot figure out how to access my contacts. All the names in my iPhone contacts are listed, but rather than call them, it attempts to invite them to Skype, even if the number is a landline.

This new version is absolutely horrible, its difficult to handle hand theres no way to change your status. Why do they have to change something that works fine?

Where is the status? How can we see who is online??? Please bring us back the old good skype, or goodbye!!!! I will select one star but you dont deserve anyone.

Unbelievably confusing. I just want to make a go****n call and theres so many distracting new features its like navigating a maze. Classic Microsoft - they try to be so helpful and cute and end up screwing it all up. Ill take the old version, thanks.

The Skype got totally messed up after upgrade, no way to use it, cannnot find the previous contact, and the credit in the account became 0 out of a sudden. If the update brought such a horrible experience to consumer, why on earth the company do it? Will stop use skype from now on.

The latest Skype has a dark themed interface like hell and the experience definitely matches to that! Cant see which contacts are online, can NOT make any Skype calls(it asks for access to microphone and it already has!!)

Fairly says, the update is a disaster. If u really wanna change something,here r some advice 1. Change to wifi connection after user enter his wifi zone. 2. Allow to Send voice message. 3.show microphone mute during the phone call. 4. Transfer phone call between device. 5. Listen to user instead of urself. App dies if user give up it.

How does a service like Skype managed to completely screw up a perfectly operational app and turn it into a nonfunctioning dud. I cant edit my contacts or make phone calls because I cant even get to the calls. Every call I start fails. So now Im trying to call my sick father in the US and I cant get in touch with them because Skype doesnt fing work. Goodbye Skype.

Get used to it and get your life on, dude.

1. Cant change status 2. Inconsistent UI between iOS and UWP apps 3. Hate f**** cards. What is it for? 4. Unstable connection 5. Skype was a standard of quality and communication - now goes into trash bin PLZ Rollback or people will disassemble old version to switch on it.

I only downloaded this app for video calls with my Android family members but I keep getting a "call failed" error. This app isnt able to do what I need so Ill look for another.

Guess Viber will be my go-to from now on.

I have been using skype for more than 10 years now and I decided to delete it after recent update that disable microphone during call with my family. It looks many complaints exist after update. I may come back later when you fix all issues sometime later. Bye!
