If giving no star was an option, I would. New Skype sucks. Bring Skype 7.x back.

New skyp doesnt work properly. I recived all messeges but Skype is trying to send my replys to other people. Now i decide to do backup of all iphone to get back old version. New version is full off bugs.

This Version of Skype is really terrible. I cant understand how a big company like Microsoft can make such a bad product. Everybody involved in making this app should be fired immediately.

Poor quality and performance... Its slow even on relatively new iPhone 6, all texts take too much space on screen, emoticons are cut... When you make a call, you must to do tricks to switch off loud speaker (thats really annoying since I dont want everyone to listen to my calls) I join others requests... Bring back old version (April / May)... It wasnt perfect, but was way better!

Okay, the whole system about needing your parents permission is stupid. Like, I get that its important little kids dont use Skype, but really? I am eleven years old and I had a group there because of an Instagram contest my friends and I had. Also, for some reason Skype keeps logging me out when I didnt even delete the app?? Please change this. By the way, needing a valid credit card just for proving youre an adult for your Skype acc is stupid too. It looks like a scam in my opinion.

Why force to choose colors? White text on solid black is worse. Whos are people who decided and approve these amateur color schemes? Just lost my primary group and cannot get it back. Had tried to uninstall/ reinstall, and reboot several times. This app is definitely an amateur grade. Its time to remove this. Wish theres a way to go back to a functioning version. Somebody should be fired, but that never seem to happen. Arent you guys embarrassed by pushing this out? Maybe Ill reinstall several versions from now. Still not listening to the user base? This version 8 is like Windows 8! Maybe Ill use Skype version 11, maybe not. You guys should call this app Skype for infants. Please get rid of the summer interns and their managers for coming up and releasing this UI, and the directors who approved it.

I see people upset about the color scheme but I cant even talk about that because all I see is the loading sign. Ive tried refreshing and deleting then reinstalling Skype but nothing works.

It says my internet connection is offline and my original credit disappeared after update

Removing messages on this app does NOT remove the messages from any other Skype platform! It simply doesnt sync, very misleading. Be careful with that you send because you cant permanently remove it from this app.

The update wasnt that bad until now my messages wont send, and its not because of the wifi. I have had to uninstall and reinstall Skype many times because of this. Please fix this dood.

Its a very good app and it lets me talk to my friends who are very far away :) the only problem is the few glitches that I have whenever Im talking people; other than that, love it.

IDK what the heck they were thinking when they updated this app. I use it frequently and it sure isnt an upgrade. More of a downgrade. I mean like seriously. My phone has never been so slow and useless while I use the app. Even when I try to end a call in a group chat it says it ended but its not letting me leave the call, so I have to reset the whole app and let it buffer. Second, why would they get rid of the status. I now cant put myself as away. So now every time I open the app someone expects me to answer. So I cant avoid a call without them knowing I dont want to talk. And thirdly, whats with the new symbol? Wasnt skype made with the symbol that we all know? Now they go on changing it likes its better. Well I hope theyre proud with themselves because now they have less than 2 stars. NOW WHEN I CALL A FRIEND I CAN HEAR THEIR VOICE BUT THEN IT STOPS AND ENDS THE CALL FOR ME SAYING THE CALL FAILED! WHAT IS WRONG? JUST CHANGE THINGS BACK! IS IT REALLY THAT HARD! THIS IS A DOWNGRADE!!! All I can say is that I hope that sooner or later they will change skype on the phone, back to what it used to be.

Its changed a lot but not convenient to use on my iPhone. I need to see full screen not half. The older version was much better.

What happened to the option of using the speaker while on a Skype phone call? Seems like they are having all kinds of issues that "they are aware of. " What ever happened to testing software before releasing a new version. Oh but theyve got pretty colours! Absolute rubbish!

I am pretty tired of the skype call crashing for literally every single thing i do. On many occasions, I will simply open an app and the call will end. When i do an accidental movement in an app, the call will end and the app will crash because of the call. This wasnt at all common in the last update but it sure is now!

EVEN IN THIS NEW VERSION 8.2.1 IS NOT POSSIBLE TO SEND SMS TO TEL NUMBERS! I confirm the previous evaluation: crap Not possible to send sms messages to phone numers. Colors and other time consuming unnecessry crap !! Keep older version. Does anyone know where to find older version? Sure it will be useful for many of us!

The title says it all. There is no way to delete conversations from JUST my device anymore(not every freakin device I have Skype on), the app is barely manageable anymore, the typing is wayyy too laggy, and it crashes too much. You cannot see who is actually online anymore either. CHANGE IT BACK TO HOW IT WAS RIGHT NOW!! DO IT SKYPE DO IT RIGHT F*CKING NOW!! DONT FIX WHAT WASNT BROKEN BECAUSE NOW YOU BROKE IT. To others looking at this app: Do not get this app!! You are better off not updating or looking elsewhere for video calling. May I suggest Facebook messenger, House Party, or some other service? Update: CRASHING IS WORSE NOW. People who use Skype as it is now and hate it, lets all mass complain to Skype via email, Tweets, you name it to try and force them to give us what we want because clearly these reviews are being ignored and we need to have our voices heard! Whos with me?

It was an excellent application that has gone up and down. Lately call quality has improved. Interface: not sure why mess with it. It would be great if messages and calls would get through as reliably as whatsapp and a couple of other leading apps. Skype has or had the potential to be todays whatsapp but it doesnt seem to be going that way with its mid level efforts.
