I always loved Skype..until the most recent update

After the update, I cant send text messages on the cell phones of other countries, even though I pay for the subscription and for my credits. Sorry, but this is really stinks. I cant see my old messages sent to those cell phones as well.
Design became...well more like Instagram or so, I liked the old design much more!! It was much more simple in use. We had a green dot near a persons name if that person was online. Now we dont have this option and it is very frustrating.
I think Skype shouldve run beta version before actually updating to such inconvenient things. Will probably cancel my subscription and my Microsoft membership as well.
Looking at the other platforms now...
