App wont start anymore after update

I loved this app - until .... just now. After last update of my iPhone 6s running on IOS 9.3.5 I can no longer log into Skype. Username and PW is not the issue, as I am able to get it through the Internet. In the app the message I get after turning and turning is: "unable to connect to Skype".
Please fix! Thanks
