Very unhappy with update

I use this app on an almost daily basis to communicate with my daughter and granddaughter who live in another state. Since the update, I havent been able to turn my phone and get a full "landscape" of whats going on with them. The tiny little square of myself is hard to tell how much they are seeing. Today I somehow ended up with a completely split screen of myself on one side and them on the other. I couldnt get rid of it.
There also seems to be many more icons to choose when I answer now. The whole thing is just frustrating and I dont understand how they consider it an update.
