Keeps getting worse and worse and worse

Skype was once great but has continued to sabotage itself with pretentious design changes. It was once simple and utilitarian, but now its bloated with obnoxious features and hideous to look at. Theyve also been removing basic functionality, like even seeing if contact are online. Even if they bring that back, it speaks to the sad state that Skype is in.

The recent changes are so bad that my entire company, which has been primarily using skype for years, is now looking into other options. Slack and Hangouts have been pretty good to us so far.
