Skype for iPhone App Reviews

Sometimes when I call someone on skype my phone starts to make static noise and the only way to get rid of the noise is to reboot the phone, I have iPhone 6s.

The app works remarkably well provided there is a good cellular signal which depends on the provider not Skype. Thanks to this app I have been able to meet and stay in touch with some very special people. Update is much needed

I use Skype on my iPod and on my desktop and for international calling!!!

No matter what done to do ?! & status cant differentiate if really away or online or offline ... etc on the other side of the hill ?! Ambiguity ???!!! & cant determine other side cam status or condition or location & real phone no or identity !?

I have used this app so many times while traveling. It works great and saves me lots of money !!

Its always a voice clarity each time I call

I have to say this is the most clumsy app I have on my iPhone. There is no simple way to add a persons name and phone number into Skypes contact list. The app would prefer to rifle through one of my other address books that are not associated with the app. If I did this I would draw in a whole list of contacts that I do not want to be part of Skype for reasons of convenience. I did manage to get a persons name and phone number into Skypes contact list after I called that person. Then I discovered that I spelled the name wrong and realized that Skype does not provide any method for editing a contact once its in the contact list. I have grown used to software being much more helpful than this. Skype: Hire a programmer!

My biggest issues with the apps are that it crashes most of the time when I try to open it, sometimes I am randomly signed out of Skype, and I rarely get notifications, despite the fact that theyre enabled. Please fix!

Used this app while deployed in the Middle East. As long as I had a WiFi connection, I was able to call home. It never failed me. At 3 cents a minute.....cant beat that.

Messages dont show when you open a conversation at times and push notifications dont work at times, quality in video chat is great and an easy way for multiple devices to be in

Been using for close to a year now for making calls overseas from US. Never an issue that I can remember

Easy to use app. Definitely more enjoyable to use than the desktop version.

this isnt even good, every time i join a call or make a call it makes me leave at least 20 seconds or less and someone has to add me. Im so tired of this because its everytime. It doesnt deserve a star

Its easy to use and 98% of the time works fantastically well. The other 2% is a tolerable minor inconvenience compared to the quality and savings that this app delivers most of the time.

I love using Skype to call overseas and it works great

I love it! While my husband was away it was such a blessing to get to see his face and for my kids to see him. We have poor reception where we live so Skype used WIFI and it came in clear

Waste of storage

By far (according to me) the best app for social media. Its sad that the owners of SKYPE are not advertising it correctly & aggressively ... as technology wise it is possibly the best written App, light & less battery consumption ... and this review is from me a person who has not only written 3 iOS apps, but also holds multiple Utility Patents as well for all handheld devices on this planet Wishing the SKYPE team all the very best !!!

I use Skype over 5 years with very good experience, I am happy seeing friends and makes calls over all Europe ❤️

Great! Great to call actual phones all over the world, too.
