Skype for iPhone App Reviews

I like Skype to talk with my husband when I am away from home. I also like to Skype with my grandchildren! Video calls are clear and make it easy to talk or read together!

So far, the app has worked perfectly. Aside from notifications not being sent 24/7, I had a great time having conversations with other people online. However, theres a small issue that may only be an issue with the connectivity of my router. Every time I open the app, it doesnt connect. Ive been turning my phone on and off. And I even reset my computer. But the issue is still there. Hopefully, you can fix this issue in a later update.

My connection is fine, everything else is working great but not Skype. Connecting. Wont go online. One day it just decided to take a sh**. Re-installing the app, restarting the iPhone 7 Plus, setting a different DNS server, turning the firewall off on the router, ect... Its just broken.

This app works really well for communicating with people by video chat etc and it doesnt seem to matter if theyre on the opposite side of the globe or in the same city. I have quality video or texting with them in either place. And its free. Which is wonderful. And the emoji that they have on Skype is unique. :-)

Just completed an audio call with participants from two continents for the affordable price of zero. Love it. Been using it since the year 2007 at least. Great new features such as leaving video messages when someone is unavailable.

I love this app! It makes it so easy for me to talk with the people I love no matter where I am. It even works in the car, so its made it super convenient to connect and chat! I was always sort of on the fence about skype in comparison to FaceTime, but not everyone has an iPhone. Whats cool about this is that it doesnt matter what phone either of us have, it always works. I wish Id tried it much sooner!

I got this app and it wouldnt let me sign in when I want to change my account it wouldnt let me is a design and so when I try to all it did was say that it was wrong when I was in its very confusing and I think the person who made this app can go to hell

Works great anywhere I go!

I use skype to make phone calls from my basement because my regular mobile line always drop. I think im charged about 0.12$ per call and I dont have to stress if the call drops or not hearing what the other person is saying. Sound quality is perfect, when I call people they see my name and my cell phone number. Its a good alternative to make call on wifi for almost nothing.

I use this app to call my mom overseas almost every day. Sometimes I am outside with my dogs in the middle of the forest preserve and because of the app I can call her with one touch. We both love it!

Sometimes the calls are sketchy but being in a developed country they do alright.

If as a frequent traveler you opt to buy a local SIM card instead of paying an arm and a leg for roaming, Skype offers the option of a US number where you can be reached at very reasonable cost.
