Skype for iPhone App Reviews

When I use Skype on my phone(iPhone 5s) it starts to overheat all the time. After 50mins call I realised that I have yellow screen area that appears only after overheating. Very bad optimisation for the iPhones...

getting fatter and slower with each new release....

Dear Microsoft, may be its time to finally make at least one of your products fast????? May you should consider and admit the fact that you are the most buggy stupid slow company on a planet Earth and start making things the way Facebook or Apple does?

The app never notifies me when someone messages me! And I have notifications ON for Skype. What the heck?!! We need an immediate fix! Additionally, Im considering moving to ooVoo if this isnt all fixed by the next update!

Okay so my little sister lives in Texas and my boyfriend is currently stationed in Germany for the Air Force. I used to love being able to Skype them when Im away from my computer and only have access to my phone. Ever since the last update I havent been able to video chat, chat, or call any of the people Id like to talk with. If I want to do anything I have to have my laptop with me and be connected to wifi. My phone service is fine so its not because of a bad connection, this needs to be fixed as soon as possible, not at all happy!!

One of the first and most well known products that offered video calls. My parents, who left their families and immigrated to the US so many years ago used this app to see and finally reconnect with their families. This app works pretty well given your internet connection is good.

I have a friend who cant use iMessage, so this was a perfect way to communicate! But there are some problems. Some of the robots dont work correctly. And my notifications goes on and off. Please fix this!

For some reason i got bored with light theme from skype, it would be wonderful if theres a dark theme (Please make it happened)

Looks like an ancient app architecture in a beautiful skin. Push notifications often dont work - specially when receiving calls. The chat sync is weird and inferior to all other messaging apps... not something Microsoft should be proud.

I keep downloading the app and uninstalling due to it crashing over and over. It wont even let me do anything. I click the app and it crashes over and over and theres nothing I could do. Please fix your app!!

Skype is just about unusable, very time I try to make a call I get a call failed notification. With every update it will work for maybe 2 calls then go back to calls failing. Honestly FaceTime is so much better and never fails like Skype does.

Happy with Skype services. I use to make international calls and I get a excellent connections all the time.

We had a small amount of trouble getting this set up, but after that its been wonderful! So thankful to see my husbands face every day even though hes a day away!

Been using it for the longest time, suddenly update one day, hop on and Im signed out, type in my email and the Microsoft image pops up and my account that Ive had for 2 years no longer works. Why would they ever screw so many of their users over like that. Do they want me to convert to a microsoft account? Make my email one? What? I dont get it and until its fixed or explained you get 1 star, plain and simple.

Where to begin? I cant shut off my phone screen WITHOUT hanging up a call!? Ok see.... thats the whole reason I used skype over an actual phone call this is just not acceptable, lets overlook the fact that my Skype calls are now creepily in my call log on my PHONES call log.... WHY does it take a good 30 seconds to connect a phone call and then drop and theres absolutely NO connection and this is just a norm with the app. I find it disheartening that an app I used to rely so heavily on has become something I wouldnt at all recommend to ANYONE based on what its become. >Terrible connection >unable to turn screen off without hanging up a call >Accesses your call log (minor I understand but still I want an app that Id separate from my phone) >Awkward "connecting" moment between start up and actual processing of usage of the app. Microsoft since youve bought this app its only gone down hill and I can honestly only attest the shoddy factor as some developer saying "Hey! These are all GOOD things!" No Microsoft.... go home, youre drunk.
