Skype for iPhone App Reviews

I couldnt care less about the layout design but when I go to Privacy settings and turn OFF "show my presence to others", everyone time I go back to the app its turned ON. Fix please

Bring back the old Skype, this is terrible

My account was linked with Facebook when I made it, and I cant use it here. Furthermore interface is an eyesore.

Please bring back old skype interface. I dont understand what is the reason of changing things and start relearning everything again, it is very frustrating a specially for older people. Dear Microsoft please stop making changes to the interface, you really need to think in making something useful for people and stop bringing them problems and frustration. There is no innovations if frustration comes first.

Bad update

Got several calls today. Whenever I click to answer the call Skype jusy gives me an error: "call failed". Calling back sometimes helps, but this is terrible...

Does not let me call people with older versions of Skype. So annoying. There is no way to downgrade. Its THE WORST APP EVER!!!

The large pulsating icon on top of all my chats when Im on a call is annoying and blocks half my screen, please include an option to make it smaller or disable it entirely. The title or chat name clickable area is too large and the clickable area for the back button to return to the chat lists is too small, leaving me clicking the chat name too often and having to back out of it twice-- very frustrating. Major conflicts with iPhone iOS spell correct and predictive text in the sense where selecting a misspelt word and clicking the suggested replacement from predictive text will be disregarded by Skype and forces user to delete and type the word over instead. Overall I have noticed lots of conflicts against the autocorrect. Please bring back the ability to hide or close chats, to remove them from the current chat list without having to delete them and their history entirely.

I was able to experience the horrible design and the not read messages even though weve been discussing for a hour until it just kept crashing and I couldnt open it. From now on Ill use google hangouts.

The current edition of skype is impossible!!!!! I hate it ....

Rubbish update, hardly used any more. Better alternatives.

Stay away. They are trying to jump in the sharing statuses space with this highlights section. Cant tell if my contacts are online anymore. Unintuitive camera controls with single and double clicks. I started using Facebooks Messenger and FaceTime more frequently since this major Skype UI interface.

The new update to Skype has basically taken a lighter, and thrown it on the old UI. Which worked like a charm, and didnt do all the extra frills and features Skype is trying to implement now. Whenever I try to press a button, the buttons will disappear acting as if I pressed them, and then nothing will happen. Even just looking at the home screen, and trying to manage it is like Snap Chat.. Which Skype, last time I checked, isnt Snap Chat.

I cant tell when anyone is on or off line any more. The design makes no sense and is hard to use. Looks like it is Facetime for the next while.

Is this what skype has come to???? This TRASH of an update is HORRIBLE!!! The UI is utter GARBAGE, i dont care for all these social features....PLEASE, can you developers just make an app to do what its just to. Make it easy to get things done. BTW, its easier to use Skype on a laptop. Please dont mess that one up as well.

This was not an easy app to negotiate. Google Hangout was so much simpler.
