This the most unintuitive application. I used it mostly for video and phone calls overseas. Now I am struggling every time to find my contacts. It forces you to chat, but I do not need chat. I wish I could switch to the old app... guess I will have to switch to a different app. Oh and I am canceling my international calling package.

Really dont like this update. Not only is the update bad but I still dont get chat notifications. I can go all day without a notification. I dont get notifications for anything!! Fix this!

Fire everyone on your design team for putting out inelegant, complicated presentation.

The update has made Skype almost unusable for me. The reason being , I cant figure out how to simply see who is "online now". Basically that makes Skype into a phone book where I can tap and call someone, which is fine but isnt the fun messenger service is was before. I almost never open it now , and am very much disappointed in the illogical changes to its interface which is now simplified but confusing (sounds like a contradiction in terms but thats how it is now...)

This is the worst update I have ever installed. First it would not let me use without reentering my logon credentials. Then it did not have my contacts or history. Not I cant even make a contact using phone. "Call Failed" is the only thing I get. Typical Microsoft crap! Update: they finally fixed the bugs, but still I like the older version better.

This refresh is really bad. It is unintuitive in nearly ever function, and it freezes, crashes or otherwise cant connect. In a pinch, I might use it but theyve ruined the app for me. Overall, Im astounded at how bad this is.

Two types of emojis in the chat window yet no way to search the chat history! Way to go MS! We need to get a chance for other messengers!

I like the light, fun appearance of the update. I personally do not find it unappealing for a phone app. I would add a message preview option for notifications.

After update its not usable

This app used to be perfectly fine. It was buggy every now and again, but mostly it worked the way it needed to. Personally, I dont care about whether or not its "looking new" or not. The interface is fine. But I no longer get notifications! Why have Skype when I have to be letting it eat up my battery on idle so MAYBE I can get a notification of a reply here and there? Fix this bug.... ???

For whatever reason, Skype doesnt notify me o messages until after Ive opened the app. Notifs will work for around a day, then turn off again. Discord seems to be the better messenger app, so until Skype fixes their problems, theyve lost a user.

After update to the latest version I am encountering issues using my earphones, but iPad version is ok. When not use earphones the speakerphone will automatically turns on !? Need more bug fixes!!!

Skype looks so different. Its like it strayed away from what people actually use it for. It feels unusable...

Skype had a few bumps in it but this update RUINED it. My friend has been trying to add me for 4 hours and through nothing we somehow are? But he cant message me. Also dont even understand these "highlights"? I cant see who is my contacts without all of my phone contacts coming up with it. Also the main problems with the calls like, connection, background noise, or picture ARE STILL HORRIBLE. You guys changed nothing that needed to be and changed everything that didnt need to be. Deleting and just going to use something else. Not like there isnt a new video chat out there.
