arent updates supposed to be better versions lol

Cant delete messages or Add people. Microsoft failed !!! App and desktop were updated an my Contacts were deleted !!!

Im in awe of how horrific this app is now. Just horrible. No excuse for garbage like this.

I cant see my contacts status, nor change mine. I absolutely dislike the font size which makes reading messages harder, not easier (yeah - bigger doesnt equal better readability), and I dislike overall the visual elements (themes, gradient colors, and especially the icons). The wavey line that indicates unread messages is terrible, but most of all - completely unnecessary. I really liked the previous design and found it very practical/easy to use, and not intrusive. I dont understand how the development team missed that Skype users dont want the product to be replaced with a Snapchat lookalike. This is one of the worst iOS app redesigns Ive ever seen. Its so disappointing, I really like Skype as a product and have been using it frequently (every day) for years. EDIT: As of yesterday, cant send any message. The app is stuck in a permanent Sending mode. I am receiving messages from my contacts normally. I didnt think this could get any worse, yet... Please - revert to the old version until you fix all the issues. Almost everyone is reporting the same ones. EDIT2: The latest update is still terrible. Online status issue has not been addressed, nor have the bugs related to sending messages. Frustrating the product team doesnt understand Skypes customers at all nor what made Skype so successful and why people kept using it. Looks like they are all Snapchat experts, though.

If you can get past change, and allow yourself to experience the new interface, youll like it! Ive watched skype over years now. It keeps getting better!

Cannot change dial tone gong to something pleasant.. this version is not as user friendly as before...as stated by most reviews.

Deprecating basic functionality like seeing whos online for a business with people across multiple time zones has rendered this app useless after years and years of faithful service, we will be migrating to Slack.

Once again Microsoft has got their hands on a good product and completely trashed it. They seem to think that everyone looks and acts like Bill Gates. We dont. We want the old user friendly Skype back. This version is like working with their Web Design Thing! Trying to be Twitter or Facebook and failing miserably !!

Dont update to new version. It is has worse user interface, you can not find place where status can be changed and in general it is more for teenagers than 25+ old.

Usually I dont write reviews but now I really want to. Your new design is quite modern and beautiful IMO but now its unusable and became really difficult to understand. But okay, one can get used to new features and UI changes but at least dont break the functionality! The basic feature of Skype are calls and you have broken it, Skype keeps "connecting" every time I try to call someone. I have to write everyone "Call me because I cannot in some reason". I wish I was able to give you 0 stars. What the hell is happening to Microsoft today?!

Not a user friendly App anymore. The user experience aspect doesnt seem to have been fully thought out. I thought I would get used to it then I saw another update so I went for it. Did anyone bother testing the App after the latest update? I lost all my conversations, I cant make a call, and uninstall/install didnt help either. Definitely needs a lot of work to bring the overall quality and usability back.

Why would you change something that works so fine your trying to make it something that its not.

As the title suggests the previous versions of this app were better - layout is now more complex and frustrating to use -you can now no longer tell who is online or away or busy.

I use this for calling Romania many times every week. With rare exception, it works great! I highly recommend it.

Theres Good Thing and Bad Thing about the New Look of Skype but at the end of the day, its freaking free video call to your love ones so be Thankful About it!!! Thank You! Keep up the Good Work!!!!
