Skype for iPhone App Reviews

The latest version is not user friendly, it does not allow you to easily see who is on line or if it does it is not intuitive. It is so bad that it made me switch to Whatsupp and withe my first review ever.

All the basic functions are gone... it became a text chat app instead of easy friendly user video chat app, like it used to be. Kind disappointed!

No contact status is displayed now. Missed calls and messages are not pushed in notification. The whole concept of Skype is lost. Switching to competitors apps

This is the worst, unintuitive interface. I am young and its confusing, how do you think all the grand parents are feeling now? Wireless app

Every time I am typing I hit the location button! I cant call to a landline as I use to with the older version! Skype People fix this please?

i have a suggestion that switching the location button with emoji button because its easy to hit the location button all the time and makes it slow. thank you for listening

Totally non-intuitive way to navigate. Ridiculous features added and important ones taken away. You can no longer call the phone number of your contacts, you only can call their skype address. This totally negates the need for mobile skype. Morons.

I had to delete the app from my iphone since i couldnt find the log out option - ill just have to install it next time i need to use it. I have been using skype since before microsoft took ownership, and it has been going downhill since then! I understand that some people need to justify a paycheck, but at one point or another this is app will simply become useless! Congratulations!

Id give minus 5 stars if I could. After they upgraded, UI is difficult to navigate and doesnt have essential messaging app features. Worst of all, I cant call/video call any more. MSFT makes a good messaging app worse. Useless app.

iOS users are done with Skype!! Finally Microsoft have killed Skype with there last update that is terrible. its to complicated make the contact list easier and the activity indicator no longer are working "for god sake" a kid of 5 years old can make it even better. Good luck Microsoft users. ( poor souls )

Skype was jus fine before you went and broke it with this new trash update. All my contacts and group conversations are gone, and I cant find my friends with this new layout. Please allow people to switch back to classic skype!

Deleted the app. Looking for another option. Getting rid of the ability to select or see online status as it was is a major fail with me. The latest update turned a good communication app for business into just another trendy social media piece of nonsense. Update: Keeping my eye on the app updates, I decided to reinstall and give the Skype app another try. Im Glad to see the ability to see contact online status again although not able to set Away, Do Not Disturb. August update made my Skype experience better but there are still many more issues to be resolved including the problem of getting no notifications. Will keep for now hoping to see continued improvement.

Unable to use other options as before. Not able to add Skype credit. The only nicer thing about it is the GUI.

This is the only way Ive been able to keep in contact with my grandparents in Czech republic. They dont have iPhones and dont understand gchat, but they can navigate and use skype. This has been my go to for years. Thanks for keeping my family together.

Audio video quality has improved, though with some compromise with actual colors, and recently never encountered voice misalignments compared to previous version. At first the new UI looked unfamiliar, but with little efforts was able to figure out how to use it. I liked it.

Skype was awesome until the last two updates. I keep deleting and updating because I dont receive messages any more, so frustrating
