I like this app. Its a nice app.

Horrible UI Update, awful

Love the new getup ?

August 2017 update is in a word, horrible. Getting rid of the very things that made people appreciate it and replacing it a confusing mess. Avoid this if you can.

it keeps freezing on one of my friends accounts and wont let me do anything, and it kept crashing and it wont do anything

GUI is not intuitive. Why cant they just improve on a good thing? Instead, the latest update has childish animations, colors and sounds that look and feel like a game for adolescents. Form should always follow function.

Skype was easy to navigate and easy to use, but now there is too much going on. On top of that the price to make a call is outrageous now. I just got done making two calls for a total of 7 seconds, one was 4 seconds and the other 3 seconds, and it already ate $0.16. May not seem like much but heaven forbid Im trying to make a real call. I suggest going back to your simplistic style and affordable phone calls.

I accidentally updated all my apps on my phone one day, including skype despite vowing never to do so after this new layout came around and I heard how terrible it was. Usually despite bad reviews I find great use in apps, not this time. Now I cant make another call while in a skype call without it hanging up rather than going on hold, calls fail far more than before, ongoing calls also take longer to load up after Id just been on another app for a few seconds, turning my camera is such a hassle, and I cant move where my video feed shows up on my phone anymore. People thought skype was bad, and I was always one to defend, but now I have to agree. Step it up, your ratings are so low! You cannot say youve been listening when all youre doing is making it prettier but way less efficient! At least let me downgrade the skype version... Im trying to be loyal to skype but this is ridiculous. The only reason I still use skype is for the video calls but theyre terrible now. UPDATE: I found more annoying crap!!! Surprise! My conversations also update late now so I have lots of miscommunications and stress to add onto my long distance relationship! Thanks skype!!!!

The update is so good ?

I see very little improvement- is it so hard to read the comments? I am searching for the replacement! Two steps back. It seems, that the ratings with more stars are listed first.... Accidentally? Useless features. Zero star rating! Online status missing Own status cannot be set (invisible, on line, off line...) I want the old version back!

Whoever designed this new interface, it is beyond me. It keeps me searching where to find simple actions (like set my status on busy). Frustration squared.

Was useful, now some awful amalgam of a bunch of kiddy apps. Ugh.

Slow. Not intuitive. Buggies!!!

To be perfectly honest, its ugly. From a design standpoint I understand what they were going for but its adding a lot of features no one will use or care about. I wish theyd revert it back to its previous state but I doubt a large company would even acknowledge any of these reviews. If you havent updated yet, I would refrain from doing it if possible. Update: there are now issues sending messages and dropping calls. This app is garbage.
