It does great on face call and call its a great app!

App is way too cluttered now. Should be reverted to the old version.

The new version of the application is just horrible. A huge step back from the old design and user interface. Just go back to how it was. PLEASE

The new interface and version is horrible. It is not possible to find anything. Now you have to spend more time to find the contact for whom you are going to call and it so uncomfortable. Update this new version or put back the previous one!

I used Skype for a long time but I have to say farewell. The new "update" has tried to turn it into a social media "experience" rather than a functional communication utility. It takes about 20 seconds to type a 30 word sentence. Its completely inoperable and Im searching for alternatives.

Im going to switch to Facebook messenger. Ive used skype for over 10 years and this new version is for 12 year olds not adults trying to make calls. It updated and all my skype contacts and messages are gone and I honestly dont have the inclination to research how to fix it.

Incomprehensible ui redesign. Software still functions but wow, is it obscure to use now.

I dont usually mind change at all, I dont complain when Facebook implements changes to its interface, I just get used to it, but this update just turned Skype into an abomination of Snapchat and Facebook Messenger. It has made this app unrecognizable to the point like I feel like I downloaded some new app to try out to realize I hate it. I would have deleted it if not for the Skype Credits. The old Skype app worked well and I paid for Skype Credit because of how much I liked it. I used Skype Credits to call and SMS international numbers. Now I cant even SMS anymore and that is one of Skypes most important features to me. I really regret updating.

You had to change it retards it was way better go back to the old version idiots

The app updated on its own, I dont know why it took so long, but in updating it signed me out. Not a huge issue. I signed back in. Walk through of the features was fine. Got to the main app and thats where my problem lies. Literally every chat Im active in is gone. I have Skype on my computer so thankfully its all still on there but all of my group chats and one on one chats have vanished with, from what Ive seen so far, no way of syncing it back up. These chats are the only way I communicate with some of these people and now theyre gone. It doesnt even recognize that Ive had chats with these people for two years. And because some arent in my contacts on my phone I cant find them. If I was solely on my phone this review would be much more scathing, be thankful I still have access to these chats. Its one thing when an update is useless. Its another when you might as well just delete the app since its sole purpose has been forcibly ripped from you.

Doesnt deserve any star. Wonder why they decided to launch such an awful version. Already update and is worse. If Skype want to lose all its users, then it is doing a fantastic job. I am fed up, and already decided to delete the app completely.

Why would you destroy such a great app with a horrible redesign??? This new version is impossible to use. I spent half an hour figuring out and its a disaster. This app was a 5 star but now its a 0.

I want my old version back. Its not even letting me use my review. Skype I know youre reading this so let others read it.

if i could give this zero i would. there is no way to control your online status on this version. WHY???????? I want to show my status as away. why was this taken away? Ridiculous

... of the new Skype is like a pink lollipop for little girls. If you love girls colors and you are not interested into real information than its great. Otherwise you can forget it. Large colorful areas with a lot of unused space between and aside text blocks, unclear and confusing blocks for other team members. Summary: Less is much more.

Many options to call and have been using it for years.

I dont believe that the changes to the Skype UI were for the better, things were fine before but it seems you are trying to turn Skype into its own social media and that is not a good thing.

If I could give the new version NO stars I would. So you wanna compete with Snapchat? Fine. Then make an app to compete with Snapchat. Skype WAS the best app to chat with the friends you wanted to chat with. By the time I can figure out who is actually online now, they are offline. What an epic fail.

Very disappointed ! I want old version back. Simple is best! Somebody should recreate good old Skype. Whose idea was it to change the Skype design in the first place? This is the most useless update the world ever had! The staff must take this online review seriously!

Not user friendly. Not intuitive. Too complicated. I use it to call my friends. To share moments I have facebook. Dont try to simulate a social network.
