The last update is terrible! The new UI and new features (most of them unnecessary) make the app unusable: I cant figure it out !

What happened with Skype?? Why change something that is working ??? This is sooo user friendly! I lost all my contacts!

Yeah, this is terrible, just terrible.

How do a bunch of software engineers manage to screw up this App so completely? Did anyone ask a real user how they like it before it launched? Doubt it. The incompetence and arrogance are mind boggling! F+ Sype.

When I first saw the 7 aug update i was happy and I said Im gonna update it for sure.... because Im sure the bring the old version of Skype but its just worse than ever ... you killed it guys you killed Skype Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase Just bring back the old version please!!!!! I dont know what to say anymore.... thanks for listening to our feedback

Skype was awesome until the last two updates. I keep deleting and updating because I dont receive messages any more, so frustrating

Just horrible! Cant make an international phone call eventhough I have plenty of credits. Cant find my contact phone numbers. Cant message my family. Its pretty much useless. Its time for me to switch to Viber. I dont have time for this crap.

Where the heck is the option to do that now? And why is logging out of this app so cumbersome now?? Making an app pretty, but not user friendly, equates to a USELESS app seriously annoying l.

Cant stand how they got to do such a soooo BAD update

The app still does what its supposed to do. I dont know why everyone is acting as a child about it. Yes, it might not be the most intuitive thing ever but its really not that bad overall.

Skype was once great but has continued to sabotage itself with pretentious design changes. It was once simple and utilitarian, but now its bloated with obnoxious features and hideous to look at. Theyve also been removing basic functionality, like even seeing if contact are online. Even if they bring that back, it speaks to the sad state that Skype is in. The recent changes are so bad that my entire company, which has been primarily using skype for years, is now looking into other options. Slack and Hangouts have been pretty good to us so far.

This update not only changes the clean, neat look Skype used to have, it also removed several features that were useful. Such features include: changing your online status from online, away, or invisible, as well as completely reorganizing how conversations are shown. And apparently it is also severely broken in that upon the update, the app doesnt have my Skype contacts available, nor does it see the conversations Im actively having on my desktop version. This is the straw that breaks me. Discord is now officially more customer friendly and listens to its users far better than Skype. Unless Microsoft comes to its senses and reverts or addresses all these problems, as well as the others Ive read about here, there is no point even getting or continuing to use this app.

YOU GUYS HONESTLY DID SO GREAT WITH THIS UPDATE. The new ringtone is so much better, the themes, it looks so "new" and sleek. Obsessed. I made my friends download it so that we could all chat with the new themes ❤️great job!!!

Please please get rid of the smiley faces at the end of each comment, or at least make it an optional setting. Im looking for a new messaging company.

Time to find a new chatting app lol

I prefer the older version which I found to be far more intuitive. Perhaps, in time I will come to like this one...but definitely not yet.

Every time I try to log in it leaves the app

App is horrendously slow, has gaps of time where it wont send messages, format is terrible, and its a Snapchat wannabe. See other recent reviews for a good idea. Switching over to Discord!
