I cant believe it, you updated to fix this app, and you made it even worse! This app is so bad. Its slow and buggy, doesnt work on Apple Watch at all. The animations have got to go. Its the slowest , laggiest app I have ever used. You have ruined Skype. If Discord had screen share, I could delete my Skype account.

Now we are able to see online status when we check recent messages but still when we check contact list we doesnt know if they are online or not unless we open each single contact and text them or check from message box. Please let us identify who is online away or busy from contact list as well.

The update of the design, compatibility and features is terrible in every way. Skype used to be known for its simplicity, useful features that are not found on the apps of competitors. This update just marked the downfall of the app. The app works terribly on iPhone 6, 6s and 7. It crashes, it often hangs when trying to answer a call. However, the worst part about it, is that skype doesnt run on older devices. By doing that, skype basically repels a huge audience of people, who now would rather use an app from competitors.

Worst update ever. I lost my rest of credit after update and disappeared my calls history as well! Also bad user interface... Downgraded app ?

"Swipe up to color my world"? Annoying garbage cluttering up the functionality that Skype used to have.

I needed to call landlines internationally and it worked great and very cheap!

Back to older version

This new version is annoying as you can not look at your contacts to see who is online. You have to click on individual person to see if they are online or not. Also menu items are not visible when you are on the call unless to touch the screen first so takes longer to start the speaker option when picking up a call. Logging off is also buried deep in a menu and took me a long time to find. New design should mean easier to use, not harder to find things. Poor usability design! Obviously not tested with usability in mind.

August 2017 New update, supposedly they listened to our comments. Well, if you listen, then bring back the old interface. It is superior to this new "Chat" only option. Im not chatting with people, I use Skype to call people. Do you understand that? I cannot even make a paid call from my credit to another number. STILL PRETTY USELESS app July 2017 New version MUCH WORSE then previous. Unusable! Cannot find contacts, no info if contact is online. Yet added many useless features that you have to prowl through to make a simple call. How do I give negative stars? Im looking for a new communication app. New version 5 does not let you change stupid sounds, does not let you send SMS to phone number (even with credit on account) and some other "new" features. All of the above were available on earlier versions so the only explanation is skype does not like existing customers.

The new version is too confusing. Please bring back older layout and platform.

Do you really think you can compete with snapchat? Not even then is doing well, you expect people to actually use stories on skype. Oh dear. Just make the app good at its core feature, instead of flourishing it with makeup and it stills lacks the basics of the desktop version. Youre turning off your business users to appeal to a younger audience that will never use Skype anyway.

Maybe someone doesnt like new design but it seems more comfortable for me. In general Skype became faster. Thanks

I use Skype 4-5 years for calls to overseas. How I can call to phone number??? This interface for calls free Skype to Skype. You dont need money? Please change this!

Why Microsoft doesnt listen Customers ? Probably they do not need us

When Im video chatting with someone and they send a written message in our chat, I get NO notification! No sound, no image, no dot, no nothing to tell me that I was sent a message! I have to go back and forth from the video chat to the written chat to keep checking and its very annoying and inconvenient. Otherwise, all is well.

Also, why am I seeing old skype conversations, that I thought that I deleted? Come on and please fix ASAP!!!!!!!Still no place to check just for Skype contacts so please improve that
