Skype for iPhone App Reviews

Sometimes the calls work. Oh wow, this app wont let me send a 2 star rating so I will make it a three star rating.

I dont understand why Skype wont swallow their pride and admit that they messed up. Youre obviously not listening to the main complaint which is the UI and the new Moment feature. The whole app seems cluttered and features prior to the redesign are missing. Most people have already moved to Discord because of these poor changes. If you want to keep pushing the new redesign thats fine but at least add a Legacy mode to appease the people thatve been with Skype for years.

Only giving 1 * cos it wont let me give none. This update is a disaster. Bares no resemblance to the skype Ive been using for last 17 years. Cant see who is online, cant set my own status, and whats with the stupid highlights! All I want from Skype is to make calls one person and groups and send chats, end of story. Please bring back the old features. Latest update a baby step forward, at least i can see which contacts are online but only on chat page not on contacts! , easier to find dial pad but still wondering why i have "chat" as first option when skype was primarily an app for making calls? Also still waiting for ability to reset my own status but encouraging that at least some reaction to the bad reviews.

Slight improvement from the terrible reboot. One of the core features need to come back before I start adding stars... Either add the filter for only viewing contacts or just make it its own screen. Using skype for everyday work that involves multiple different groups, its annoying scrolling through the recent convos and frankly, not helpful...at all. Store the previous convo within the contact/group. Get working on the status change and viewing statuses BETTER. Take a breather from the themes. I can guarantee you that no one will notice them if no one uses the app. Consider having them redesign it like Skype for Business or the old version. --- The same terrible choices that were made by the last update are still there. This update adds nothing useful. Before rolling anything out, please allow users to: - see someones status without clicking their names - change their own status Then reconsider: - the big font "I have bad vision" layout - rebuild to the previous previous skype version. (Hopefully it isnt merged with master yet or backed up somewhere) just until you get this update and basic features included. The new design was a premature push. - consider Skype for Business layout. It would actually be helpful to keep consistency across products. It feels like the last updates ismeant to refresh the terrible ratings and reviews. In case its not, pro-tip, if no one wants to use the app, your backend improvements fall on deaf ears. Useable usability, folks. Try again...

I prefer previous version. Is there away for me to go back to previous version. Can"t tell my contact is online or not.

I want the translation option to be available while using on mobile just as on desktop

Whenever im in a call with someone and i get a call the call goes silent when i decline the incoming call and it cant be fixed unless i recall.

Sadly, Skype is no longer the great App that it was at the beginning of 2017. Terrible user interface and no longer for business or serious users, now it pretend to be another time-wasting teens App.

Redesign totally out of place on iOS and gradients are from the 90s. Very different and very unwelcome. This app looks like it dropped in from another planet and not in a good way.

Great app! Specially if you have friends/relatives living in another country!

Hi owner! My Skype keeps crashing and Im SOO tired of it. Its been annoying me and every day I have to delete it and sign in! Please fix This is a new day and Im editing this review. THIS SKYPE KEEPS CRASHING and I have to fix it every day. Now it crashed twice today!!!!! I rated Skype 2 stars before but now I rate it 1 star. It deserves it. When u fix it, I will rate it better ??=? <-(ιf υ fιχ ιт)

New awful UI with less functionality. You cant even change your online status. This is garbage.

At least now it shows if theyre online or not.

Please change skype the way it was before!! Please! I dont like the new update and its really annoying. I liked to see who was online and who wasnt and now its so confusing and have no idea whos online or anything. I cant even find a way to go back and download the old version ?

Im calling to phillipines why its not working i pay for it but its not working

I have been Skype for a long time like other people do. Im not able to make a call. I can receive a phone call but cant make a phone call. I deleted the app and downloaded again but it still doesnt work. Are there any problems with the app? Ive written a review before ( about a month ago) but havent heard anything from skype developers. I just need to know 1 why I cant receive a phone calls. 2 we want old version ( simple and useful) back. Thanks in advance.
