Skype for iPhone App Reviews

I am not sure if I need to write it in English or Russian... but.... вы задолбали... я не помню, когда в последний раз у меня запускался скайп без красного окна и плачущего смайла с синяками под глазами... is this a kind of a joke?.. I use skype a lot... vital things happen there... and now I cant even appreciate the glamorous interface everyones been talking about... its just this red fucking screen with this crying emoji with blackened eyes... Not a single day has passed with this app saying about login problems... это просто издевательство...

The worst design Ive ever seen. The new interface sucks so badly. Hard to express it without f-words. I want to move back to the previous version. Your web designers should be fired and never find a job again. Amateurs!!

The Skype is dead. Im quitting this pinky sh*t.

Microsoft is probably not even reading our complaints they are probably just sitting on their rich asses laughing at how hard they have made our lives now with updating skype

Skype was always easy and fast - best app to communicate online! Now it is slow, introduced new features that nobody needs and is missing on-line status!

Seriously? Seriously! You f***ing idiots managed to ruin a perfectly fine app, I have been using skype forever and I have it on a couple older iPhones as well that has iOS 7.1.2 on them with NO way to upgrade to iOS 9, and now skype keeps telling me I need to upgrade and I CANT! So f**k you very much.

I liked the previous version a lot better. Besides the obvious attempt by MS to appeal to younger users by freshening up the graphical user interface, the functionality has regressed. As a longtime customer of Skype calling out feature, I am particularly disappointed by my inability to copy, cut, paste or even insert or edit telephone numbers in the new dial pad. It feels like MS is treating its users like children that arent allowed to do certain things. Until this feature is fixed, I will not be using Skype to make calls.

What was once an awesome application and something fun to use was extremely ruined with the likes of Bill Gates and his stupid khaki pants came by and ruined this application (whoever the new CEO is is an absolute idiot. And I hope they fire him). Now when I open this application its unrecognizable and simply finding a chat that I have a someone I cant do. None of the icons make any sense and every time I think about what a royal screwup that is, I can only think Microsoft and all their stupidity is written all over it. If it was macintosh like all the best phones in the world, it would be 100 times better and virus free. Thank you Bill Gates and your useless software. My next computer phone software hardware will all be from Apple. The next computer virus and crappy software will be from Microsoft and the new useless CEO. Update: August 7, 2017 Skype is still crap. Microsoft has no clue what theyre doing and is always too late to the game.

Cant get calls from other Skype users... No longer user friendly. What are the card things and I dont care about the colors... So stupid! Ruined a good app with an update wish I could go back... I used to make calls on the app all the time now they wont go through. They drop immediately once the person tries to answer. Maybe make sure it works before forcing everyone to download such a downgrade.

Because I must sign in every time I want to use it.

If Microsoft wants to compete with snap or WhatsApp they should just buy Twitter. Leave the Skype alone!!! Looks so bad and useless after this update, its ridiculous.

Works good with high speed internet. Well designed and easy to make a phone call or review your contacts.

Ever since the "make-over" the app hasnt wanted to work properly. There are times where it takes FOREVER to send messages, and I know its not some kind of network error on my internet or phone. The app just doesnt work like it should anymore

The new update is terrible. Cant even see when someone is online.

There may be some needed improvements, but for me it works just fine for what I need it.

Such a bad redesign. Truly. Its not even easy to sign out. Why is Microsoft and the other big companies making stuff crappier by the iteration? This, like the look and feel of windows 8 and 10, was a failure. And its a blast to not get all messages to all devices. Maybe I get one or two here that my desktop doesnt get, like ever. Bad.

I have only ONE request: can you make it so you can tell if someones Online or Offline... but anyways I find this app very useful and a beautiful design choice!!!! YAY THE NEW UPDATE IS SO GOOD
