Skype for iPhone App Reviews

I dont like this new design at all, i cant tell if my friends are online or off. It doesnt feel right to me, bring back the old design and skype!! So terrible, not to mention theres no option to switch from online,busy,away, offline, etc. The most worst update ever!

I think the "improvement" was made for a spy from the competition. Looks more "cool" but is not useful anymore. I hope they go back to the old version we know and love.

This version is terrible!!! I used to send text messages to cell phones via Skype. Now it says messaging not available. Also history if messages is not available (stating Eeek..) I am trying to download the old version for iPhone. This is absolutely worst version.

Good quality calls, calling to land lines and mobile is also possible and very affordable

Everything works fast, the sound quality is amazing. Weights a lot in comparación with viber or WhatsApp though

I have used Skype for over 10 years! I really like it and will always use it. I call land line overseas, call skype members and it is usually connected with ease. Thank you!

I only make outbound calls. It has been clear and works really well.

Although Im a pretty big fan of Skype, I plan on deleting the app after the most recent update. The color scheme is messed up, the entire layout of the app has changed, and its now hard to navigate. Dont update if you havent already! And it would be much appreciated if there were an option to go back to the previous layout. Based on my experiences and the overall negative reviews of this new update, Skype should either return to the last layout or at least clean up the appearances and make it easier to operate.

The app needs improvement. Having difficulty seeing contact information.

Work from home and use it almost daily to comm with colleagues worldwide, really like it and have no issues.

Absolutely amazing how Skype released this crap. Eats battery 1% per minute. Calls have echoes, lag, distorted voices. They also took away the ability to take a longer video. Just all around crap

Ive been using Skype for quite sometime, and I wont lie I was apprehensive about updating, but I did it. This new version is a glorified Snapchat wanna be. While I dont mind the theme as much as everyone else, the interface just isnt user-friendly anymore. The menus dont make sense. You cant close chats anymore, so youre left with a huge list of them. The font is too big. You cant sort your contacts by availability (or even see their availability). To add a contact, you have to go through like 4 different screens, then scroll a bit through like 15 different options. Theres no more mood messages. No stream. This was an awful decision. It effectively removed some of the best features that Skype had offered and replaced them with features you can find elsewhere, done better. I implore Skype to revisit the drawing board after this because this is a complete flop. Its so user-unfriendly. Its tacky, bulky, and the menu system is downright confusing. Im not sure why they tried to update something that was just fine. If its not broken, dont fix it.

People call me, and new app updates on iPhone did not ring. I have to get back to use iPad. Bad bad update

This new update is cool and all but GO back to the old update this new update is way too complicated and I think its taking away from the concept of skype

First of all: Are you crazy guys! I cant believe this! Im stunned! After years having an Skype account I never ever saw a user Interface that bad. Go back to the previous one ASAP!. PLEASE!!!
