Works as great on the app as my computer and saves my cell minutes. Grrrrreat!!!!

Cant get calls from other Skype users... No longer user friendly. What are the card things and I dont care about the colors... So stupid. Ruined a good app with an update wish I could go back... Deleting the app.

Change this back asap!!!!! Update is horrible!

I just called internationally and the call was pretty good only a few times I couldnt hear what they were saying but other than that it was fine

After the update, I cant send text messages on the cell phones of other countries, even though I pay for the subscription and for my credits. Sorry, but this is really stinks. I cant see my old messages sent to those cell phones as well. Design became...well more like Instagram or so, I liked the old design much more!! It was much more simple in use. We had a green dot near a persons name if that person was online. Now we dont have this option and it is very frustrating. I think Skype shouldve run beta version before actually updating to such inconvenient things. Will probably cancel my subscription and my Microsoft membership as well. Looking at the other platforms now...

This new and "improved" version is junk- thanks Mickeysoft for ruining skype entirely ! Youve added some useless "features" no one cares about while removing useful functionality, such as being able to filter contacts by their "online" status. Shouldve simply left it alone and at the very least allow users to run the old version. This is going to trash - plenty of other messaging apps out there. Thanks for nothing Microsoft!

I know theyre are a lot of negative comments but its overall a app that does its purpose and works fine for me ?

The latest upgrade has very much changed the user interface of this app, and those changes have made this app completely un-useable. I cant call my contacts, and I cant see their mobile phone number to call them manually in this app.

Leaving the realm of messaging and calls that was their primary focus, to become a me-too for every other social platform. Starting to switch my friends over to Discord. Especially since, again, it prevents me from sending messages!

It works great. I couldnt be more pleased!

As proven here and on many other forums, Microsoft is NOT listening and Skype is DEAD. Move on folks, nothing to see here.

im a subscriber on skype, paying $39.99 every month, and now I cant use the app on my phone, and I can upgrade my phone! Which mean quitting using skype!!! wow!

Skype was never amazing, but it was usable. The new update though is terrible, its more of a social media than instant messaging platform. The new interface is also horrid.

I rarely write reviews, but I just have to for the new version of Skype. The fact that I cannot see who is online makes this app totally useless for me. I talk to my family overseas and with the new app I can only blind guess when I can start a video call and see if theyre responding to know if their online, this is such a basic features that they removed and I cant even be bothered to look through the app anymore, Time to switch apps definitely

Why completely ruin something that was working perfectly fine before? Honestly, nearly everything other than call quality has gone downhill. The layout of everything, for one, has been completely screwed up. I cant even figure out how to do most of anything anymore, not to mention that mood messages and availability messages cannot be changed and are nowhere to be seen on other profiles. The convenience of knowing whether or not someone can even talk has been completely thrown out the window. The only other way to let people know now is to individually message every last contact you have to let them know you cant talk, and message them all again when youre available once more. Plus, Skype is used in major businesses to communicate! Theres no need to turn it into social media with the highlights and reactions. Another major turn-off is the new chat system. The bubbles are ginormous, and its nearly impossible to find older messages when the newer ones are three times the size. Plus, the colors were also all changed. Its either completely black and white or random childish colors on all of your contacts chat bubbles. If you havent updated yet, PLEASE keep it that way.

Go back! If you havent downloaded it, dont! This skype stinks! Its so distracting for my 2 year old who uses it to talk to distant grandparents. Let us remove the mood heart. Let us move our window around. Go back to the old version, this is terrible.

New updated version is BAAAAAD Skype doesnt even show in Notifications settings,no way of saying who is online, calling is weird. Older version was much better!
