Skype for iPhone App Reviews

Since the major overhaul to the UI, the app is worthless. Messages dont send, conversations dont update, calls dont connect. The app is close to worthless until these issues are fixed.

I use Skype every day... and it has become transparent to me as a voice, video and screen share meeting app. It has not yet replaced my mobile phone cell service... but I see a day when that might happen. Meanwhile, My four star rating is due to occasional issues where a Skype call will ring on my mobile device but not my laptop. And it always seems to be the meeting where screen sharing is required. This is a small annoyance and is usually fixed by simply messaging the caller that Ill call them right back. But when its a group meeting it can be VERY annoying.

Conversations and things I deleted years ago suddenly front page. The add-in bing integration clumsy and slow on phone data. Had to dig through the UI to find contacts. Skype is world famous for one feature, international voice and video. Dont screw it up.

Worked beautifully right away.

Ever sense the new update it doesnt work and wont let me open up the app. I hope this gets fixed ?

Still no active list of contacts, no easy way to delete contacts. Do something right Skype, please.

Skype team - with the latest upgrade the location icon is directly below the send button. This is incredibly annoying. I constantly find myself sharing my location when all I want to do is send a message. Please fix and I will update my review.

Surprisingly the new version is harder to use and less stable than older ones. Dont upgrade! Its the only mainstream app I have ever used that crashes my iPhone 7

This latest version has made it where I cant join in a call which is the only reason I have Skype on my phone. Otherwise I use the computer version.

2017 Aug 11 (new app) awful. It discarded all of my contacts and all prior conversations. Totally awful. Rethinking my use of Skype, and switching to WhatsApp.

Sick and tired of the constant changes. This most recent design is the worst. Customer service has no idea about the update, they cannot help at all. One call not returned, after 4 cut offs a person who barely spoke English. I cannot use the new design as is. I need help. I do not want to chat, Skype was perfect and simple to use. Very bad, not user friendly at all

Return back old interface!!! One e-mail, different logins.... What happened? Freezing during calls...

The worst UI Ive had to deal with recently. An upgrade should by definition mean "better." Instead this is a disaster. Everything I relied on is gone and things I couldnt care less about is in instead. This product manager either doesnt understand how people use this app or doesnt care and is trying to compete for a market share that belongs to Facebook or whatever cool social media out there. Why? Is Skype that insecure?

I really just liked the layout it was before. ): it pushed a new update and its forcing me to pick color schemes and stuff what happened to the good version I had before ☹️
